This half-day online course explains the expectations for high-quality personal development. It provides a detailed insight into how a school’s curriculum and extra-curricular offer can support excellent personal development. It includes:

  • What is effective personal development?

  • Overarching principles.

  • The different elements of personal development.

  • Key document updates.

  • Essential information about the contribution of PSHE and RSHE to personal development.

  • What schools should be doing to support all pupils.

  • The optional aspects of personal development provision.

  • The features of good personal development and what lifts it to outstanding.

  • The Ofsted EIF criteria and what it means in practice.

The course is aimed at primary and secondary school staff.
